Show Me Your Tomatoes! Competition
On Saturday, August 21st Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! will host their fifth annual Show Me Your Tomatoes competition. Enter your homegrown tomatoes for a chance to WIN a trip for two to Las Vegas or dinner for four to Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! The contest categories are as follows: Largest Tomato, Ugliest Tomato, Heaviest Tomato, Famous Tomato (celebrity look-a-like tomato) and Best-Tasting Tomato. The restaurant will accept tomatoes for judging from 9:00 AM through 10:30 AM and the judging begins at 11:00 AM. Show Me Your Tomatoes! contest will be judged by well-known industry professionals including Lyle Allen, Executive Director of Green City Market; Tim Mazurek, Chicago-based artist, writer (and baking enthusiast) of food blog Lottie + Doof; Dougie Tomek, owner of the Original Uncle Dougie’s Torpedo Tomato Juice – in addition to some of Lettuce Entertain You® Restaurants talented chefs!
